It is a time capsule.

For four years, I photographed a particular moment in the life of Florence. The people who passed through it, the friendships, rituals, accidents and encounters that happened there.

Years from now, we will open these pages and be able to say:

I was there.

The edit was brutal. Of tens of thousands of photographs made over four years, only 298 made the book.

The Bellini Project is an independent work of documentary and artistic photography.

The project was conceived and developed as a documentary record of a particular moment in the life of Florence. The people depicted appear as an integral part of that documentary record and of the reality observed and photographed by the artist.

The photographs were not made as part of any advertising or commercial commission, and the individuals depicted were not engaged as models. Their presence does not imply participation in, promotion of, or endorsement of the project, or of any third-party product or service.

The photographs are published and presented as an integral part of a photographic work of a documentary, cultural and artistic nature.
